From Vampire Savior Fanbook. Q&A with Capcom about the entire cast of Vampire Savior.
Demitri:
Q: Is Demitri the protagonist this time?
A: We don’t really consider anyone to be “protagonists” or “secondary characters”. Whoever the player is using is always the “protagonist”. But if you made me answer who the “face” of the game is, I guess it would be Jedah.
Q: What reason does Demitri have for fighting any of the creatures of Makai other than his direct opposition, Morrigan?
A: To punish them for their insolence, to protect himself from potential threats, or sometimes merely for sport.
Q: Why does he have a hostile relationship with the Aensland family? If he were to defeat Morrigan, would he challenge Jedah of the Dohma family next?
A: Because they are an enemy he must defeat in order to become the ruler of Makai. The Dohma family are the same.
Q: Which is his real form, his “normal” form, or the demon form he takes when using Midnight Bliss?
A: The Midnight Bliss form is his true form.
Q: What was the great war of Makai like?
A: It was a grand battle that swallowed all of Makai. The details other than that are not clear.
Q: What does Demitri think of B.B.Hood and the Dark Hunters? And, has he been consumed by darkness? Wouldn’t the fact that Donovan is in the Romanian castle in his Vampire Hunter ending mean that Demitri knows something about what happened to him?
A: He thinks of B.B.Hood as a clever little human. In terms of Donovan, Demitri has caught wind of his actions, but has no interest.
Q: What Darkstalker does Demitri fear the most?
A: Belial and Morrigan.
Q: What is Demitri’s usual diet?
A: His favorite food is the lifeblood of young maidens.
Sasquatch:
Q: Is Sasquatch’s species hot-blooded by nature?
A: They’re a gentle species. When faced with baseless conflict or impolite behavior, they show their ferocious side.
Q: Why did they decide to occupy the human world?
A: They thought they would be able to make friends and have a more active society. They have no particular hostility to humans.
Q: Is there a way to tell between the men and the women of the species?
A: You can tell by pheromones. And it seems like the females have voluptuous eyes.
Q: About how big are their feet?
A: It varies by individual, but around 80-100 centimeters (~30-40 inches).
Q: What kind of dwellings do they live in? And what’s the scale of their communities?
A: They live in a kind of scaffolding assembled from natural elements like caverns and rocks. They live with about 100 of their colleagues.
Q: Has contact with humans produced any changes in the Bigfoot tribe (cultural or otherwise)? And can they converse with humans? If so, in what language?
A: Contact with humans brought a deep interest in high-tech devices. Conversation with humans would be tough, but that’s not to say it’s impossible. Some of their species have been able to imitate human pronunciation.
Q: Since they went into the Majigen, are they planning the conquest of Makai?
A: It’s possible they will if they find something tastier than bananas there.
Q: Tell us the details of Sasquatch’s family structure.
A: Sasquatch is single. His close friends are the elder Tundra and his combat rival Donkeccho.
Q: What are his least favorite type of people?
A: Rude ones.
Bishamon:
Q: In a manner of speaking, the Bishamon in this game is a fake Bishamon (just the armor and possessed sword)?
A: That’s right. The sword stole the identity of “Bishamon”.
Q: Who’s in charge, the armor or the sword? They both seem like the type to be stubborn about doing things their way.
A: It’s a cooperative effort.
Q: Did Bishamon absorb swordplay techniques from its host?
A: That’s right.
Q: Is Bishamon interested in anything other than slaughter? It came to Majigen, so was this based on an impulse to become the ruler of Makai?
A: All it really likes to do is kill and bask in the blood of those it cuts down. It has no interest in the position of ruler of Makai.
Q: So, the person who is on a journey to help people is also “Bishamon”. Is that his real name?
A: Bishamon is his real name.
Q: Does the Bishamon that is traveling with Orin know about the resurrected armor Bishamon?
A: He seems to have learned about it during his pursuit of knowledge.
Q: If you win repeatedly in arcade mode with certain conditions, an extremely powerful Bishamon bursts in. Is this Bishamon really him?
A: This is called “Oboro Bishamon”, and is the human realm’s Bishamon who has used the power of Buddhism to take control of the armor.
Q: Are Bishamon and Orin husband and wife?
A: They are husband and wife.
Anakaris:
Q: What does Anakaris look like under the mask? Is he actually young and beautiful under there?
A: He has an exotic beauty with long, narrow eyes… or so it would seem.
Q: What kind of person was Anakaris when he was alive?
A: To his citizens, he was considered an absolute being.
Q: Tell us about Khaibit.
A: We can’t want to write too much about it out of fear of getting cursed…
Q: Didn’t the problems that occurred during Anakaris’s absence end up changing the course of history in some way?
A: Anakaris would take it on himself to fix whatever history had occurred.
Q: Around how many people does Anakaris rule over?
A: It’s really unclear. One theory is that the kingdom exists to this day (in 1997), with over 90 billion citizens.
Q: What’s daily life like for the king?
A: It’s a truly gorgeous lifestyle.
Q: In Anakaris’s ending, we see him select a punk-looking man to become his citizen. Under what criteria does Anakaris select citizens?
A: It’s random selection. Anyone who obeys the king is formally a citizen, and those who refuse or show too much fear are forcibly removed.
Q: How do his trap holes work? And where do the coffins that fall when he uses Pharaoh Magic come from?
A: They are both products of his ability to distort space.
Q: Does he need to eat?
A: He’s been known to eat offerings from his citizens.
Victor:
Q: Why has Emily stopped moving?
A: Because she’s run out of power.
Q: Does Victor realize that Emily is also an artificial human?
A: Now that she’s stopped moving, it seems like he recognizes it.
Q: Does Victor recognize Emily as a little sister?
A: He does.
Q: Now that the professor is gone, is it possible that his condition will worsen or he will die?
A: It’s a possibility.
Q: Victor fights to achieve his goals, but in his heart, is there a reluctance to fight?
A: I believe so. But, I don’t think he thinks about it that deeply.
Q: Where did he learn his fighting abilities?
A: From the moment he was born (when he was activated), he knew them.
Q: When Great Geldenheim is being used, and the professor’s soul possesses Victor, what happens to Victor’s mind and body?
A: There aren’t really any changes in particular.
Q: Are there any opponents he’s not particularly good with, or techniques he dislikes?
A: It’s unclear.
Q: Why is Victor so fixated on his butt?
A: I mean, I wouldn’t really say he’s fixated on it…
Q: What’s the source of Victor and Emily’s energy?
A: Electricity.
