From Vampire Savior Fanbook. Q&A with Capcom about the entire cast of Vampire Savior.
Lilith:
Q: Between Morrigan and Lilith, which is the real personality?
A: They’re both the real personality.
Q: When Lilith merges with Morrigan, does her personality disappear?
A: The two personalities fuse and coexist.
Q: Doesn’t Lilith bear a grudge against Belial and the Aensland family for sealing her away?
A: She only had the simple desire to return to her original form, nothing more than that.
Q: Does Lilith’s power surpass Morrigan’s?
A: It’s not clear, but it’s probably safe to assume they’re about the same.
Q: What’s her gender?
A: She’s a woman.
Q: Lilith’s win quotes leave the impression that she has a pretty intense, suggestive personality, but is that what she’s really like? Why does she say such intense things? Maybe I shouldn’t read into it too much.
A: I think that because Lilith used to be a succubus, she ends up saying stuff that agitates people without even realizing it. I’d say that more than being “intense”, Lilith’s personality is a mix of innocence and cruelty.
Q: What’s the idea behind her “Showtime” EX move? What is she trying to do? Is it to tease her opponent?
A: The idea is that making her opponent dance is funny.
Q: Which Lilith changes into plain clothes in her win pose, is that her evoking Morrigan?
A: I would think so.
Q: What does Lilith think of Morrigan?
A: She thinks of her as her original body to return to.
Q: What’s her full name?
A: It’s Lilith. (She probably chose it herself)
Morrigan:
Q: Since Morrigan didn’t succeed Belial, does that mean there’s no current head of the Aensland family?
A: Yes, but only Morrigan thinks that. The Makai nobility recognize her as the new head.
Q: Belial became Morrigan’s guardian, what’s their relationship?
A: It’s a guardian and ward relation, there’s no blood connection.
Q: Since Morrigan didn’t even become the ruler of Makai, isn’t Demitri wasting his time by constantly challenging her?
A: In that case, I’d say it’s Morrigan’s fault for lacking self-awareness of her role.
Q: Tell us about the Aensland people (?) who surround Morrigan.
A: Some servants live in Aensland castle. It seems other members of the succubus tribe are also there.
Q: Is Morrigan aware of the existence of Lilith?
A: She somehow senses it, but doesn’t know the full details. Also, before Belial’s death, she didn’t sense it at all (that’s what the seal was for).
Q: If Morrigan merges with Lilith, does her chest get smaller?
A: Well, I wonder… (laughs)
Q: If Morrigan and Lilith unite into a complete Morrigan (?), wouldn’t Demitri and others not even be able to touch her?
A: Because Belial, who had a part of them inside him, is dead, they can’t return to 100%.
Q: What does Morrigan think of Jedah and his plans?
A: She’s excited that it seems like trouble is about to happen.
B.B. Hood/Bulleta:
Q: Where does she keep all those weapons?
A: Inside her basket and skirt.
Q: What’s in her basket?
A: It’s – a – secret… it would seem.
Q: Why’s she got such a sharp tongue?
A: That’s just how she is.
Q: Is she really a child? Or is this a situation where she looks like a child but she’s really around 25? Also is she really human?
A: Her age is unknown, but theories range from her being in her late 20s to her being a kindergartener. Furthermore, she is an authentic “human”.
Q: Since she was called into the Majigen, does that mean that her true nature is evil (dark)?
A: Those are both her true character. Her soul is exceedingly steeped in darkness. That’s not to simplify things to “dark = evil”, though. Good and evil are subjective.
Q: What’s the name of the dog she has with her?
A: Its name is Harry. It’s a very normal dog… at least, it’s supposed to be.
Q: Because she’s red riding hood, between her and a wolf (Talbain), isn’t there an unusual connection?
A: She was originally a werewolf hunter. So, she must be pretty good at fighting werewolves.
Q: Who’s paying her?
A: The mysterious intermediary “Mr. K” handles the exchange of her reward.
Q: What’s a “Lovelin’ Hunter”?
A: Just a simple slogan. Sorry (laughs)
Q: But that doesn’t mean she’s actually a suuuper sweet person, does it?
A: Actually, there are times when she’s sweet.
Q: What’s B.B. Hood’s full name?
A: B.B. Hood is an alias, it seems like her real name is a secret.
Lei Lei/Hsien-Ko:
Q: Where were the two of them reincarnated? It seems like the parents are blonde.
A: It has the vibe of a Western country town. More importantly, it’s modern day.
Q: Weren’t they living happily after their reincarnation? Why did their old memories of the art of Igyo Tenshin return to them?
A: Their mother from their previous life thought it would be best to return their powers to them, but it ended up leading to misfortune.
Q: Why did Jedah call Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling into the Majigen? Plus, their names probably changed after being reincarnated, so how did he know those two normal girls were that “Hsien-Ko”.
A: Jedah’s summon of worthy souls wasn’t aiming for specific people, it was like a summoning signal for all souls in the world, and he summoned those who responded to it. It’s like fishing with a dragnet rather than a fishing rod. After being reincarnated, their mother in their previous life granted them powers. She thought she could ensure their happiness by sending it to them, and that it would work to ward away evil spirits, but unluckily it was caught in the net of Jedah’s call for worthy souls.
Q: Did their former memories also return?
A: It seems like fragmented memories did (like that she was Chinese).
Q: How does she feel about Raptor falling in love with her?
A: She’s a bit annoyed by it, but she doesn’t hate him or anything.
Q: When they’re fighting, can Mei-Ling restrict or take control of Hsien-Ko?
A: She can.
Q: Who’s the woman in their ending?
A: Their mother from their previous life.
Jedah:
Q: Belial, the former ruler of Makai, has died, so of course Jedah is aiming for Morrigan now?
A: He’ll target her in the end, or it’s a matter of time until he does.
Q: Once Jedah self-destructed, what happened to him after that?
A: He floated through a interstitial space, different from either the human world or Makai, scattered about.
Q: How was Jedah able to be resurrected?
A: Little by little he collected his scattered bits together, and in a remote region of Makai his material form was reborn.
Q: What’s going on underneath his clothes?
A: An entrance to another dimension for supplying his magical power (connected to sacred Shinto objects?) and his (current) real form’s blood fill the space.
Q: Where does Jedah’s blood come from? Does he ever get defeated in battle from anemia?
A: The blood is his real form itself. No, he does not become anemic.
Q: What language are Jedah’s special moves?
A: They’re modeled after Italian.
Q: What’s that fetus-looking thing in the background of Jedah’s stage?
A: It’s a container for the souls that make up sacred Shinto objects, and will become Jedah’s real form once his resurrection is complete.
Q: Why didn’t he call Donovan, Anita and Huitzl to the Majigen?
A: By chance, they weren’t caught in his summoning net.
Q: On the surface, he seems to act like a messiah, but what’s his true goal?
A: As he says, the salvation of souls. It’s not meant to be a good deed, evidently he just believes this is nature’s divine providence.
